Colin Smallwood and Tom Kemp, a.k.a Coz and Cheezer, a.k.a. Art Alchemy Circle, have been a dynamic painting duo since they were in 5th grade, drawing comic books and painting murals together in Frederick, Maryland. Ever since, they’ve continued to make bad ass artwork together, such as painting murals at the Flying Dog Brewery, Live painting in primo Baltimore and Frederick spots with the Manifest, Proper Playground, and Appalachian Jamwich crews (or solo/duo). They also developed a complex, two-and-a-half year painting series mapping the Evolution of Human Consciousness, which was well received in the Frederick and Baltimore art shows. Currenly Colin is a tattoo artist at Gus’s tattoo studio in downtown Frederick, and Tom is the art director for a video/lighting audio company in Columbia MD.
