Duane Winfield
A high school student in Washington, DC during the late 1970’s, Duane began his creative journey at the Urban Journalism Workshop under Lew Berry. He graduated from Boston University in 1982 with a degree in Journalism. Working briefly as a photojournalist, he then had a career as a photographer’s assistant in Boston and New York City, until establishing Duane Winfield Photography in 1998. His photographs have appeared in cookbooks, magazines and advertisements, and his fine art prints are held in private collections. Presently, Duane is in his seventh year as Apprentice Printmaker with Master Printmaker Percy B. Martin at WD Workshop in Silver Spring, Maryland. Duane currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland USA.
