John Russell Herbert
I grew up in Baltimore County, and went to school in St. Mary’s County. I’ve lived in the City for almost twenty years. I’m involved in a few media. I am interested in all approaches to both form and content, to theory and to practice. Key to many of my works, an to my entire outlook, is the revisitation of older works in progress. I like to take the fruits, of this or that mood, this or that theoretical theory, and to celebrate them for all they’re worth, and then to add, what is new, letting something evolve that reflects both maxed out reasoning and the beautiful spontaneity of something unplanned. I like to bring all studies, beyond those of the arts, into my work and the rationale behind it.
