Tyde-Courtney Edwards
Tyde-Courtney Edwards is the Founding Director of Ballet After Dark, a classically trained ballerina, art model, and survivor of sexual assault. The images submitted are from the most recent series shot in Baltimore City. During the shoot, Tyde-Courtney faced aggressive, heckling remarks from on-goers watching the shoot. While being called names and having her womanhood questioned while wearing her classical tutu, she continues to smile throughout the photos. Sexual assault survivors should be given the freedom to heal how they wish… Her tutu is her cape.
