Alan LeMay

Born in Annapolis MD, Alan LeMay has lived throughout the Baltimore area and currently resides in Pasadena, MD. Alan is a self-taught painter and metal sculptor, with a deep passion and skill for abstract painting and elaborate metal pieces. Influenced by Willem de Kooning for his spontaneous abstracts and Franz Kline for his series of black and white canvases, Alan strives to become as versatile as his mind will allow. Through trade, Alan has received expertise training and schooling in metal work which has allowed him the ability to bring his visions to life in the form of metal sculpture. Alan’s work is inspired by everyday life, images, thoughts, memories, and emotions. After a life changing event in 2012 Alan has been inspired in new ways, with deeper passions, and an obsession for creating new expressive artwork. Whether it be on canvas or in the form of metal, Alan is working on new pieces daily. Alan is currently selling artwork online, by word of mouth and at local shows. His goal is to expand his audience, grow his clientele, and to continue producing passionate expressive works of art.
