Anna U Davis
Anna U Davis was born in Lund, Sweden in 1975. She moved to the United States in 1998 and graduated with a BA in Painting from The University of the District of Columbia in 2002. Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including those at The Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Long View Gallery and Hillyer Art Space, all in Washington, DC. Davis is known for her bold, colorful, graphic mixed-media work, where she explores her fascination with gender relations. She is a two-time recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and has received multiple Artist Fellowships from the DC Commission. Her work can be found in public and private collections in the United States and in Europe. Davis currently resides and works in Washington, DC.
