Bonnie Schupp
Bonnie Schupp, lifetime Baltimorean, has been creating photos since 1950 when she received her first camera. For nearly six years, she wrote a photography column for the Baltimore Evening Sun and other US newspapers. Her photography feature articles have also appeared in Petersen’s Photographic and Darkroom Photography. Among others, she has received recognition from Kodak, Kinsey Institute, Baltimore Museum of Art, Baltimore Museum of Industry and Women in Photography International. Her images have appeared in publications locally and around the world, including Forbes, the Business Journal, the Sun, the Huffington Post and PBS. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in the Baltimore, Annapolis, Fairfax, Rockville, Detroit and Bloomington areas. One of her images hangs permanently in the administration building of the Johns Hopkins Bayview campus. She is a retired teacher and current Getty photographer. “With photography, I can capture a moment of meaning and suspend it within time’s dervish.”
