Darius Denis
I am a digital artist born and raised in Baltimore, MD. I’ve been creating pieces since I was a teenager. My goal is to have the subjects in my work express themselves, not be told how they should feel or pose. Art presents identity without having to use words. Images are better at showing paradox than language. In an image, simplicity can be very complex. I take these things into consideration when I create my work. My art pieces are also storyboards of my growth, which I often expand upon to reflect on how my consciousness has changed since I made particular pieces. My art is a personal diary of my thoughts and feelings.
