Gioncarlo Valentine
I am an editorial and documentary style photographer, born and raised in Baltimore city. I’m also a full time student at Towson University. The heart of my work is Black people. Showcasing the radiant and undeniable beauty of my people is the most important aspect of my work. In my documentary work, I focus on telling stories of Black life and experience with the end goal of starting a dialogue and aiding future generations of Black people with identity issues and issues of representation. I’m also an advocate for LGBT issues (with a focus on Trans experience) and against Poverty. My work is preparing to focus more on the documentary side.
