James Trudeau

James Trudeau’s passion for photography began when his father gave him his first Nikon 35 mm camera when he was a child. James took the prized camera along with him to high school and then on to college until film cameras became obsolete.

In 2014, James began his professional photography business, helping a friend promote a nightclub in Harford County, Maryland. Since then, his photography has expanded into weddings, corporate events, fashion shoots, maternity sessions, and lifestyle/newborn/family sessions, as well as real estate.

James has also done a lot of work with non-profit organizations including the Fuel Fund of Maryland, the Maryland State Breastfeeding Awareness Coalition, and LinkedIn Local Baltimore’s efforts to fundraise for the Living Classrooms Foundation. James currently uses a Nikon D800, and always has had an eye for cameras in the Nikon family. James also enjoys taking still life photos and anything he finds beautiful in nature. James won first place in the 2016 Maryland State Fair in the landscape section of photography. James is always on the lookout for exciting new projects, events, and families to capture with his camera. James is often complimented for his attention to detail and pure passion for his work. James’ work has been published in Washingtonian Magazine, Marine Life, Baltimore Magazine, The Baltimore Times, and seen on WJZ CBS Baltimore. His latest project, “Scenes of Covid-19 in Baltimore,” was seen on billboards in downtown Baltimore City during the pandemic. James has a warm and charismatic personality, but always maintains his professionalism when the environment calls for it. He likes to have fun and bring out the best in his clients and the families he photographs. He prides himself on building solid long-lasting relationships with his clientele.

James, a Baltimore County resident, has a beautiful wife and two daughters. When James is photographing weddings, his wife Stephanie is usually by his side to capture the wedding or helping the bride as a stylist. When not working his full-time job at Johns Hopkins University as a phlebotomist and research assistant, or photographing events, James is taking photos of his family.
