Jing Zhao
Jing Zhao (b.1994, Shanghai) is an artist based in Baltimore. Jing is keen to keep experiencing and recording the urban and living texture that surrounds her. She is interested in setting her own consciousness as the sample to reflect some phenomena and core values in contemporary life. By collecting and using photography, text, personal data, video and sound, she reproduces the changed youths’ consciousness in the narcissistic era. Also, as a kind of artistic research, her work undertakes the mental archaeology of contemporary media and its effects on our minds and bodies.
