Karen Osp Palsdottir
Karen Ösp Pálsdóttir, a Maryland-based painter born in Reykjavík, Iceland, received her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2013. While a student, Pálsdóttir co-founded FÍLE, an organization that unites Icelandic artists studying at International Schools. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries in Baltimore, Washington DC, and Reykjavík, and have been featured in various publications such as New American Paintings, SFMOMA, and Hyperallergic. Pálsdóttir explores various subjects through a Cobalt Blue lens in her most recent monochromatic oil paintings.
