Karen Y Buster
I am a Baltimore, Maryland native reared in a private artist colony, encouraged to be creative from childhood. My journey into the world of fine arts original transitioned from designing t-shirts through my company “Bustertizin.” My eyes have been trained to distinguish negative and positive spaces through my black and white hand cuts. I create my images by drawing with an x-acto knife. I am a graduate of Dillard University in New Orleans, LA. The music and sexy, seductive nature of New Orleans seeps into and inspires my art. I have also started to work with creating steel and wood sculptures. I have been creating and selling my work for over 42 years.
