As an artist and a teacher, I am drawn to making artwork with a sense of playful innocence and honesty. Sitting down to paint, to methodically sew or to cut paper, I am immediately immersed in a world of my creation, one with its own set of rules and of its own intentions. This world allows me to quietly focus on the task at hand while building a design piece by piece, slowly accomplishing something immensely satisfying.
