Matthew J. Bailey
Born in Washington DC and currently based in Baltimore, Matthew J. Bailey uses photography as a way to tell stories of places and people. Much of his process is rooted in an exploration of his childhood, reading, family-told oral stories, and research. Matthew believes photography is a tool to investigate and learn about the past, while also celebrating how far we have come.
