Robert Scott
My artwork focuses on the Black Experience in America, as well as the female figure; speaking on personal trials and tribulations that I experience myself, as well as women that inspire me. Artwork has become my outlet when words and actions cannot simply convey that independently. I tend to use varying adjectives and descriptions in my artwork titles to help identify and convey these feelings. Prevalent themes in my work include the aforementioned female figure, beauty, and nature. My current focus is to make the Black female figure a staple in the fine art world. The mediums I use to achieve this are photography and digital artwork. I’ve practiced art for over 15 years. Currently, I’m focused on making a cultural impact with my work. Leaving a legacy and inspiring the people that look like me is something very important to me.
