Stephanie Comegys Miller
Stephanie Comegys is an artist inspired by faith, human experiences, concepts, and emotions. When creating, Stephanie looks through the obvious in order to tell a story in human experience, emotion, or concept, then translate it into visual format to give it a redemptive identification. This is expressed with color, texture, direction, and form in a free flowing, intuitive, yet intentional method. She does not like to be boxed in so she can create with mixed media, however it is needed for the subject. This allows her to create both abstract and representational as well as works that are meant to be viewed in multiple directions to share another aspect within the story. The challenge Stephanie takes on when she paints is to capture the universal emotional, experience, or concept that many can identify with personally. The result is redemptive in balance, beauty, and unity. The painting becomes one cohesive creation. She communicates through art that each one of us are connected as a whole yet unique and complicated individually.
