Sunshine King
Sunshine King is a dedicated activist for disability rights, inclusion for persons with disabilities in entertainment, and health/wellness. Sunshine is the survivor of a brutal domestic violence attack by her ex-husband that left her with a incomplete spinal cord injury from being shot four times in 2004. She has turned her tragedy into a passion that enhances the mind and spirit of people in need of help. Her desire to nurture what ails has led her to become an entertainment coach and certified wellness practitioner for various agencies. In 2016 and 2017, she was invited to “walk” the runway at New York Fashion week. She later had the opportunity to be the first African American model for Tommy Hilfiger’s adult adaptive clothing line. Sunshine has been honored as a double survivor by local organizations and been featured in Inside Edition, MSN News, AOL News, Story Trender, and numerous radio interviews in multiple states.
