Tyler Wilson
I’m a multidisciplinary artist who primarily works with photography and video installations to describe the malleability of language and memory. I was born in Charlotte but raised in Austin and Atlanta. I returned to Charlotte to pursue a degree in Hispanic Studies at Davidson College. After graduating, I had brain surgery to treat a neurological disorder that suddenly developed while in undergrad. Due to the condition, it is no longer possible for me to process foreign languages. When I lost Spanish, I made art my second language. Now, I’m a graduate student in the Mount Royal School of Art at MICA.
