Yele Oladeinde

yo-profile

Yele Delusi is an American-based Nigerian fashion designer popularly known for her elegant feminine afro-contemporary designs.

Yele draws her inspiration from traditional Yoruba fashion combined with the versatility of Western and European designs. This unique blend of multicultural styling, she believes, allows her to stretch the boundaries of both worlds, giving her the opportunity to creatively explore a more diverse cultural scope in style and fashion.

Since her entry into the fashion scene, Yele has strived tirelessly to carve a niche for her brand through her afro-contemporary mode of styling. She has since mastered the art of combining native African fabrics with everyday clothing materials like denim, soft cotton, satin, and sequin, amongst others, to produce signature dresses like the Omokemi bridesmaid dress, the “Lola” African print two-piece set corset dress, and others.

Yele has two major collections to her name and is currently working on a third. She’s also the founder of Yel magazine; a fashion lookbook dedicated to showcasing the works of minority fashion designers globally.

Yele is currently based in Baltimore, USA and can be reached via yelestitches@gmail.com. She also has a strong presence on all social media channels.
